Bergwandercamp is a non-commercial hiking and adventure holiday for gay men where where every guy can participate according to his own needs and fitness. It has taken place every summer since 1993. Many friendships have resulted.
Each year a group house, typical for the Alps, with shared bedrooms and facilities is rented. The group house is the start and end point for day hikes and excursions. The meals are cooked by the participants themselves in teams of 5 or 6. (See also: Bergwandercamp Locations.)
Bergwandercamp is not a commercial enterprise. The organisers are not tour operators, meaning that participants cannot make any claims against them in terms of organisation, insurance or guarantees. There is no set programme. There are no multi-day hikes going from one Alpine refuge to the next. As a result, Bergwandercamp is not expensive.
